The 'Dragefjell' series are some of the most detailed and impressive pieces of art we've come across.
Here's what Kim told us about his inspiration:
"Bergen is known as one of the rainiest cities in the world. As a child I remember looking up at the clouds, watching the surrounding mountains appear and disappear as shadows behind the clouds, the rain dripping from eyelids distorting my vision, and the sense of there being dragons there. Somewhere. Created between 2018 and 2019, the "Dragefjell" series is an exploration of those memories of rain. It is named after the last kindergarten I went to before starting school, Dragefjellet Barnehage, the Dragon Mountain kindergarten, where I also have my first memories of the looming shadow of institutional trauma appearing from the mists of childhood. It's a series I'm very fond of, and I some day hope to return to it's themes."
